What to expect at RakuCon!

Amazing Dealers and Incredible Artists

We’ll have a wide variety of dealers and artists alike! We have a strict policy for absolutely no bootleg merch, so you can shop safely knowing you’re only buying from dealers with official anime figures and collectibles, as well as artists with unique styles for both their original and fanart items.
Performances, Workshops, Panels

Take a break from walking around the convention and watch some amazing performers! There will be a lovely variety of performances over the exciting weekend! If you’re interested in performing at Raku Con then head over to the Performers page to fill out the application form. There will also be a range of panels and workshops to watch and take part in!
Games Room, Cosplay Competition, Cosplay Photo Areas

Expect a games room with a range of exciting consoles, cosplay competitions, as well as a range of areas dedicated to taking photos in your cosplays! From aesthetic areas to green screens! We’ll have lots of things to take your cosplay photos to the next level!
Anime and Emo After Party

We’re super excited to announce that RakuCon will be having an after party on the evening of Saturday 16th August at Mother Mary’s Manchester from 9:00PM until 3:00AM! Expect performances, anime, emo and rock music! You must be above the age of 18 to attend the after party.

MAD JAMIE will be performing at RakuCon! 🎉 MAD JAMIE is a Japanese rock idol, fusing idol energy with punk and rock! They’ve gained global attention for their wild, high-intensity performances! 🔥 Don't miss out on their first ever live show in the UK, headlining the RakuCon stage, as well as a meet and greet after their show! PLUS a special bonus performance at our after party!
✨ New after party venue! ✨ We're excited to reveal the new after party venue for this year's RakuCon! 🩷 Our after party will be taking place at Mother Mary's, located on New Wakefield St, just a 7 minute walk from Pendulum Hotel! 💕 The venue features two floors, aircon, a private outdoor area and a lift between both floors! Stay tuned for more info regarding tickets! 👀

We're excited to announce that Hover Media will be back with their photography studio at RakuCon! 🌸 The perfect place for your cosplay photos! 📷 You can find their studio in Conference Room 1! 💕
We're excited to welcome back The Entasy League to RakuCon! 🌸 They're a fanmade group of gym leaders who battle people in Pokémon video games and give people real life gym badges if they win! 🩷 There will be a guest switch, but we encourage people to bring their own switches and use their own teams to win gym badges! ✨
🩷 The small business table returns! 🩷 A table dedicated to promoting small businesses! 💕 No matter if you're trading at the convention or not come bring your business cards, leaflets, etc and place them on the table for attendees to collect 🩷 you'll find the table in the Pioneer Room, it'll have a pink tablecloth and a small sign 💕
We have an official license from Sentai Filmworks! 🩷🎉 For the first time we'll have anime screenings taking place across the weekend at RakuCon Manchester! 💕🎉
