Performer FAQ

How long can my performance be? 

Performances are a minimum of 5 minutes long up to a maximum of 45 minutes.

What time will performances run from? 

Performances will be running from 11am on Saturday and from 12:30pm on Sunday of the convention. 

Where will performances be held?

All performances will take place in the Cotton Theatre.

What equipment is available? 

  • 4x Wireless Microphones

  • Bodypack Microphones

  • Microphone Stands

  • Tripod Stand

  • Laptop

  • Projector

The cotton theatre has it’s own sound system, so you don’t need to bring your own speakers.

How do I send over music for my performance?

Once we have confirmed your performance slot, we will contact you via email asking you to provide music and anything else needed for your performance (e.g image to be projected in the background of your performance).

All music and other files must be provided not later than 1 week before the event.

Can I perform on both days?

Due to a high number of applications, we are unable to allow the same performance on multiple days, however we are happy for you to perform both days if the performances are different. 

Please submit applications for each performance so we have the details for both.

Can I record my performance?

We are more than happy for you to record your performance, however if you plan to bring a tri-pod or other equipment, please let us know on your application form.

Do Performers need to buy tickets? 

Performers will be required to buy a ticket on the days of which they’re performing.

Do performers get discounted hotel rooms at Pendulum Hotel? 

If you’re performing you will be offered single and double occupancy hotel rooms at a lower rate. We will contact you with the discount code and how to use it via email. 

Can I sell merchandise?

Performers can sell a small amount of merchandise before and after their time slot. There will be a small space made available on a table in the Cotton Theatre for you to stand in front for selling your items. Please note you may only bring a small amount of items and the merchandise must be original and related to the performance/panel. E.g. CDs or t-shirts with your logo. You can only sell items for a limited amount of time before and after your time slot. If you’d like a bigger space, with the freedom to sell a large amount of items and no time limit, you will need to purchase a trader table.
