Panellist FAQ

How long can my panel/talk be? 

Panels are a minimum of 5 minutes long up to a maximum of 120 minutes.

What time will panels run from? 

Panels will be running from 11am on Saturday and from 12:30pm on Sunday of the convention. 

Where will panels be held?

All panels will take place in Conference Room 2.

What equipment is available? 

  • 1x Wireless Microphone

  • 2-3x Wired Microphones

  • Laptop

  • Projector with HDMI cable

  • Speakers

How do I send over any slides/music/etc for my panel?

Once we have confirmed your performance slot, we will contact you via email asking you to send us any slides/music/etc for your panel.

All music and other files must be provided no later than 48 hours before the event.

Can I host a panel on both days? 

Due to a high number of applications, we are unable to allow the same panel on multiple days, however we are happy for you to host panels on both days if the topics are different. 

Please submit applications for each panel so we have the details for both.

Do Panellists need to buy tickets? 

Panellists will be required to buy a ticket on the days of which they’re hosting a panel. If you’re a sponsor you do not need to buy tickets.

Do Panellists get discounted hotel rooms at Pendulum Hotel? 

If you’re hosting a panel/talk you will be offered single and double occupancy hotel rooms at a lower rate. We will contact you with the discount code and how to use it via email. 

Can I sell merchandise?

Panellists can sell a small amount of merchandise before and after their time slot. There will be a small space made available on a table in Conference Room 2 for you to stand in front for selling your items. Please note you may only bring a small amount of items and the merchandise must be original and related to the panel. E.g. CDs or t-shirts with your logo. You can only sell items for a limited amount of time before and after your time slot. If you’d like a bigger space, with the freedom to sell a large amount of items and no time limit, you will need to purchase a trader table.
